“I had the pleasure of hiring and working with Scotty on a short film I directed and produced called “Distraction” in which he single handedly accomplished all of our audio needs. From recording the talent on set in some of the most extreme situations to picking up extra sound elements that we could use later in post, he always went above and beyond what my expectations were of him. Besides that, he was an extremely enjoyable person to have on set and got along with everyone exceptionally well. Really looking forward to having the opportunity to bring him on for any future projects.”  Stephen Schuster, Director – element217@yahoo.com

“I’ve been recording with people on and off  since 2005 and I can say for sure that one of the greatest recording experiences I’ve had was with Scott Tipton, He trusted me enough as an artist to allow for space to record in the ways that I wanted to. I felt really comfortable and supported the whole time. His turn around in making the songs available was really fast, and he had unwavering commitment to give the songs as much time as they needed to develop. The television music series “Olympia Winter Nights” illustrated his dedication to integrating new forms of media and supporting local music. He is definitely an engineer who is passionate and excited about his craft and making music recording an accessible and fun experience for groups and solo musicians, I definitely look forward to working with him again.” – Abigail Kiser;  Musician, Vocalist, Songwriter. www.abakiser.com

“I’ve worked with Scott on several large projects in the studio and he is always professional and upbeat and sincere. He’s got a great studio presence that still shines after an all-day recording session. We worked closely on the foley for an animation and I can say with confidence that he is a great person to work with and I would gladly have him on any of my projects.”  – Noah Bonds; Audio Engineer, Composer, Sound Designer. www.npbonds.com

“The one thing you always wish for when working on a collaborative project like film production, is that every member of the team is professional, efficient, and good-spirited. Scott hit all of these points and then some. He was always willing to go above and beyond his designated job, and his disposition was warm and welcoming which made for a comfortable, focused, and productive work environment. I would (and already have) recommended Scott to others. He’s a perfectionist and a genuine guy. Who could ask for a better combo?” – Molly Buffham, Owner, Donut Junkie, LLC

“The thing I enjoyed most about Scott was the upbeat attitude and his ability to get along with everyone which is crucial for long shoots.  If he keeps going, he is gonna be so successful.  Hopefully he doesn’t get so busy that he can’t take a last minute call from us for some ridiculous project…..Scotty rocks! – Maria Falgione, Owner, Off The Couch Productions

“Scott came in to help us establish baseline settings in our new studio. He efficiently scoped out the situation and set us up for a terrific session with remarkable instrument isolation in our small space. I’m still using the routing template he established in our all digital, MIO Console DSP environment. He was fantastic to work with – calm, enthusiastic and patient.” – Fletcher Ward, Owner, Straight Light Studio

“Getting a chance to work with Scott on our band’s debut record was an absolute pleasure. His knowledge in the field is vast and heavily applicable to a large variety of sonic circumstances. He is a man with a solid ear and keen grasp of working out specific tasks in the present while keeping in mind the overall goals of a project. The results of working together were more than we could ask for and a big part of that was due to Scott’s unwavering enthusiasm and ability to troubleshoot/adapt to whatever constraints we threw at him. I look forward to working with him again in the future and will definitely keep up with his work in the meantime because I’m sure it will reflect the sorts of great qualities he showed us while recording our album “Engine” by Kannon.” – Ethan Molomut; Musician, Guitarist, Freelance Engineer/Producer. http://engine1.bandcamp.com/

“In 2010-2011 I worked closely with Scott Tipton on two projects. In the production of Olympia Winter Nights, the live multi-cast concert series he created and produced, I found Scott to have strong communication skills and a lively, positive attitude towards musicians, volunteers, collaborators and supervisors alike. As a co-producer of the show, I witnessed Scott operate smoothly under stressful conditions in both the pre-production and production of the show. Scott’s enthusiasm, audio recording experience, organization, and connections in the Pacific Northwest music scene were imperative to the success of Olympia Winter Nights.

Spring of 2011 I served as Director of Photography for a short film called Dog Dreams for which Scott lead the audio team in on-location recording, sound design and final mixing. I highly enjoyed Scott’s candid personality on set, and I appreciated his drive and focus in accomplishing so much work in so little time. Scott Tipton is a pleasure to work with and I will be glad to provide any further recommendation, so please don’t hesitate to contact me.”- Loie Vaughn, Cinematographer, Producer – vaughnylo@gmail.com
